Paithan's Sant Dnyaneshwar Garden Renovation To Be Completed By January 26, Says MP Sandipan Bhumre
MP Sandipan Bhumre was speaking during the review meeting of the garden work at the district collectorate on Thursday.

“The renovation and beautification of the Sant Dnyaneshwar Garden in Paithan is in progress. It should be opened for the tourists by January 26, and the administration should plan accordingly,” directed MP Sandipan Bhumre to the officers.

District Collector Dilip Swami, additional district collector Dr. Arvind Lokhande, sub-divisional officer Neelam Bafna, chief engineer Jayant Gawali, PWD engineer Ashok Yerekar, planning officer Bharat Wayal, agriculture officer Prakash Deshmukh, Paithan Municipal Council CEO Nandkishor Bhobe, tehsildar Sarang Chavan, sub-divisional engineer Deepak Dongre, junior engineer Tushar Vispute, and others were present.
Paithan’s Dnyaneshwar Garden had been closed to tourists for several years. Later, funds of Rs 27 crore were sanctioned for the repair and beautification of the garden. The work includes musical fountains, roads, painting, pipelines, repairs, sports areas for children, and other improvements.
Bhumre directed the officers to ensure that the funds are utilized properly and excellent facilities are provided to tourists. He emphasized that the garden should be opened to the public by January 26.
He also instructed that the work on the musical fountains, pipelines, and entrance painting should be completed as soon as possible. The road work should follow afterward. The pending electricity bills should be paid, and power should be restored to the garden immediately.
The district collector directed the officers of the electricity company, Jayakwadi catchment area, PWD, and concerned contractors to accelerate the work and complete it within the given time limit. This will help boost tourism in the district, he said.
