Nashik: Central Railway Steps Up Kumbh Preparations, General Manager Inspects Key Stations

Nashik: In view of the upcoming Kumbh Mela, Central Railway has accelerated its preparations to manage the expected surge in passenger traffic and ensure the safety of devotees. Central Railway General Manager Rajiv Srivastava inspected key stations in the Bhusawal Division recently and reviewed the preparations for the Kumbh Mela.

The General Manager visited Deolali, Nashik Road, Odha, Kasbe Sukene and Kherwadi stations, where he reviewed passenger amenities, infrastructure, security arrangements, crowd management and preparedness for emergencies.

Considering the possibility of a significant increase in the number of devotees and passengers during the Kumbh Mela, emphasis was placed on ensuring all necessary facilities and arrangements at the stations. Special measures to ensure safe, smooth and hassle-free passenger movement, along with effective crowd management, were also reviewed.

Bhusawal Divisional Railway Manager Puneet Agrawal and other senior railway officials from the division were present during the inspection.

The inspection assumes significance in view of the upcoming Kumbh Mela, as efforts are being made to further strengthen passenger facilities and security arrangements at railway stations across the Nashik region.
