Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Jitendra Papalkar Takes Charge As Divisional Commissioner, Prioritizes City Water Supply Scheme

Jitendra Papalkar took charge as the Divisional Commissioner of Marathwada Division on Saturday evening. He took charge from the outgoing Divisional Commissioner Dilip Gawade. Papalkar is an officer of the 2010 IAS batch. In 2016, he joined the revenue services as Deputy Divisional Commissioner and has now been promoted as the Divisional Commissioner.

District Collector Dilip Swami, Deputy Divisional Commissioner Khushalsingh Pardeshi, Anant Gavhane, Sambhaji Adkune, Umakant Pardhi, Harshal Bavaskar, Ramesh Mudlod, and other senior officers were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Papalkar said the work of the ambitious water supply scheme for the city will be completed with preference.

He took information about various works, especially the water supply scheme, from the heads of various departments. He has earlier worked as the ZP CEO of Chandrapur district and as District Collector of Akola, Hingoli, and Dhule districts.
