IAA Reiterates Sustainability Vision With Greener, Low-Carbon Leadership Awards

The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) revealed that it was planting 1000 trees near Mumbai through Earthday.Org the largest environmental movement in the world.

Said Abhishek Karnani President IAA , "We aim to walk the talk. 15 years ago we conceived of and launched the Olive Crown Awards which salute excellence in communicating sustainability.

Last week, at the Leadership Awards we took the sustainability promise one step further and decided to plant 1000 trees which would largely reduce the carbon footprint arising out of our event. We hope it will be an example to other's organizing events as well".

Earthday.Org presented Karnani a token of their appreciation and their Debapriya Dutt said this would help Earthday.Org fulfilling its target of planting 50,000 trees this year.
