Western Railway Achieves Record Scrap Sale Of Over ₹507 Crores In 2024-25
According to Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, the scrap sale figure of Western Railway crossed the Rs. 500 crore milestone on 21st March, 2025.

Western Railway is committed to make all its railway establishments and units, scrap free under the “Mission Zero Scrap”. WR has achieved total scrap sale of Rs. 507.78 crore in the financial year 2024 – 25.
According to Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, the scrap sale figure of Western Railway crossed the Rs. 500 crore milestone on 21st March, 2025.
WR has garnered Rs. 507.78 crore from scrap sale, which is almost 27% higher in comparison to target set by Railway Board. With this WR has joined the Rs. 500 Cr club of scrap sale along with Northern Railway, Southern Railway and Eastern Railway.
