WATCH: Birthday Celebration On Borivali Road Ends In Police Action Against 10 Men

Mumbai: A viral video circulating on social media purportedly shows a group of men celebrating a birthday in the middle of a road, allegedly blocking traffic and disrupting vehicular movement in Gorai-2, Borivali. The incident reportedly took place near Sukhsagar Cooperative Housing Society.

The video shows around 10 men celebrating a birthday while occupying the road and obstructing traffic.

Birthday celebration blocks traffic

The footage further shows the group parking a car in the middle of the road and placing cakes on its bonnet as part of the celebration. During the event, the men appeared to be in a festive mood, while one of them was allegedly seen firing a baby air gun into the air.

Police take action

Following the circulation of the video, the Borivali Police took action against 10 individuals for allegedly creating a public nuisance by celebrating a birthday on a public road. The main accused, Akash Ramphul Gupta (26), along with nine others, was taken into custody.

A case has been registered against the accused under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Motor Vehicles Act, the Maharashtra Police Act, and the Arms Act.

Investigation underway

Further investigation into the case is being carried out by the Borivali Police.
