Thane: 29-Year-Old Man Stabs Neighbour To Death Over ₹2.5 Lakh Debt In Broad Daylight In Ambernath

Thane: A 29-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his 31-year-old female neighbor to death in broad daylight over a financial dispute that arose between them on Monday afternoon. The police reported that multiple stab wounds were inflicted on her chest and abdomen.
The accused is identified as Rahul Bhingarkar, 29, a resident of Barkupada in Ambernath, who lived with his mother and was unemployed. The deceased has been identified as Seema Kamble, a married woman living with her 13-year-old daughter in the same locality, but her husband had left her alone.
The accused and the deceased knew each other as they were neighbors. Meanwhile, Seema lent Rs 2.5 lakh to Rahul on several occasions in several parts. However, Rahul did not return the same amount despite multiple requests.
According to the police, Rahul has not been able to repay her. She threatened him that if he did not return the money, she would file a police case against him.
Subsequently, the accused, Rahul, hatched a plan to kill her. Therefore, he called her to repay her money. As she arrived in the Bhimnagar area near the Sai Baba temple in Ambernath, he started a heated argument with her.
The brawl escalated and turned fatal. He allegedly carried a knife and stabbed her five to six times in her abdomen and chest. She collapsed on the road, lying in a pool of blood. He immediately fled the scene. Bystanders and locals rushed to the spot and alerted the local police. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead upon arrival.
The incident took place in Bhimnagar near the Sai Baba temple in Ulhasnagar on Monday afternoon when she met with Rahul.
Ramesh Patil, a senior police inspector from Shivaji Nagar Police, said, "During the preliminary investigation, it was discovered that she lent Rs 2.5 lakh to Rahul. She continues to demand money from Rahul. He was not able to repay her. We arrested the accused in Ambernath. We will produce him in court on Tuesday."
