Tata Technologies To Establish Skill Development Institute In Kalyan's Dawadi with ₹197 Crore Investment

Thane: Tata Technologies Ltd is establishing a skill development institute in Dawadi in Kalyan. It will serve as a centre for invention, innovation, incubation, and training. The foundation stone was laid by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Tata Technologies, in collaboration with KDMC and MIDC, is leading this project. KDMC has allocated one acre of land for the institute. The facility will span 21,500 sq ft, with a total investment of Rs 197 crore, including Rs 36 crore sanctioned by the state government. Construction is expected to begin by the end of this year.

This initiative will benefit students and small-scale industries, with 7,000 youth expected to receive training in fields such as artificial intelligence and drone manufacturing, as well as in other areas such as engineering, operations, and technician roles, helping them secure quality employment.
