NCP Chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday after reaching Delhi reiterated his party’s support to the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. ‘’ We have the full support to Uddhav Thackeray. I believe that some of their (Shiv Sena) MLAs have gone to Assam, when they will return there will be a meeting with them. Thereafter it will be clear that Uddhav Thackeray can run the Maha Vikas Aghadi government,’’ he noted.

‘’We still have an alliance in the state. The rebel Shiv Sena MLAs will change their stand after their return to Mumbai. Steps will be taken soon to bring back the MLAs to Mumbai. Shiv Sena will take steps today in this regard. If they have the numbers, they should come to Mumbai. If they have the numbers, why are they staying in Guwahati?’’he asked.

Pawar accused BJP of toppling the MVA government in Maharashtra. ‘’Yesterday, Eknath Shinde had said that we have the support of a national party. The rebel MLAs went to Surat for the first time and then moved to Guwahati. Whose government is there in both these states?’’he asked.

Pawar said that Thackeray will take a decision on taking action against rebel MLAs. ‘’Our commitment is with Uddhav Thackeray and we are with him. Also, some people are saying that this is match fixing but it is not the fact. Because if that's the case, why are so many agitations taking place in the state?’’he asked.

Amid the present political crisis after Shiv Sena minister Eknath Shinde led legislators staged a rebellion in the state, Pawar said during his Delhi trip he would not meet anyone in this regard. ‘’I will not meet anyone in Delhi. Our Parliamentary committee meeting is there and later will be present for the filing the nomination form of non-BJP candidate Yashwant Sinha for the upcoming Presidential election. That is why I am in the national capital,’’ he added.

He further said that leaders from other non BJP parties will be here including Akhilesh Yadav. ‘’We will file Yashwant Sinha's nomination in Parliament tomorrow at 11.30 am, ”he added.
