Mumbai: Leaders across Maharashtra on April 2 extended their heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. The auspicious Hindu festival is celebrated every year to honour the birth of Lord Hanuman, who is also known as Anjani Putra. Lord Hanuman is the devoted disciple of Lord Rama and a symbol of strength, courage, and devotion. 

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis took to social media and extended his heartfelt greeting on the auspicious occasion. Sharing a video, he wrote, "Jai Bajrangbali! Heartiest greetings to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti."

Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar said the festival celebrates Lord Hanuman as a symbol of courage, devotion and service. She encouraged people to follow his ideals by staying dedicated to duty and public service, while striving for spiritual progress and contributing to society’s upliftment amid life’s challenges.

Extending wishes, Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde prayed that Lord Hanuman's blessings help resolve life's troubles, bringing peace, strength and positivity to all.

Versova To Hold Event 108 Recitations of Hanuman Chalisa

​The Shree Jagannatha Balbhadra Subhadra Trust has announced a grand celebration for Hanuman Jayanti on April 2, 2026, at Ganpati Mandir, Aram Nagar, Versova. The event will feature a 108-time recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa. The programme will begin at 9:00 am with an explanation of the hymn’s deeper meanings, followed by the recitation session from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Not just this, a major procession is expected from the Hanuman Temple in Vakola, which is expected to draw an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 devotees.
