MLA Jitendra Pandya Unveils Barnagar Development Vision

Barnagar (Madhya Pradesh): Barnagar MLA Jitendra Pandya on Wednesday said his priority is to transform the constituency through investments in education, irrigation, industry, roads and healthcare, asserting that the development of his constituency remains his foremost commitment.

Speaking during an interaction with journalists at the local rest house, Pandya said establishing a Sainik School on nearly 100 bighas of land is his top priority to provide quality education to local students.

He added that efforts are also underway to set up a girls' college, colleges at Kharsaud Kala and Ingoria, and another Sandipani School.

The MLA said he is pursuing the linking of the Chamla, Chambal and Gambhir rivers with the Narmada-Shipra Project to improve irrigation facilities and ensure the region's long-term development.

He also highlighted the proposed Rs 3,500 crore Birla Cement project, saying it would boost industrial growth and create large-scale employment opportunities for local youth.

Pandya said road projects worth over Rs 158.40 crore are under execution, while works worth around Rs 18 crore have been proposed in the 2026-27 Budget. He added that five new bridges worth more than Rs 42 crore have been sanctioned during his two-and-a-half-year tenure.

On healthcare, he said Kajlana Hospital would be upgraded from 100 to 150 beds with additional medical staff, while services at the Barnagar Government Hospital would continue uninterrupted.
