Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A mother-son duo died in a tragic accident on the Nepa-Ambada road in Madhya Pradesh's Burhanpur district on Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Sunanda Bai, wife of Ravindra Rumale, a resident of Shahpur, and her son Ajay Rumale.
According to the information, the mother and son had come to Nepanagar for treatment. Both were returning home in the evening.
Around 4:30 pm, they met with an accident near Ambada village. The collision was said to be severe in which the mother and son, along with the bike, fell into a nearby field.

After the accident, local villagers informed Dial 100 about this. The police reached the spot promptly, sent the bodies for post-mortem and started searching for the vehicle that hit them.
According to local villagers, it was a pickup vehicle that hit them. After the accident, the driver fled the spot.
Nepanagar police station in-charge said that a case has been registered against the unidentified accused.
The police have also begun collecting CCTV footage from the surrounding areas and recording statements of eyewitnesses in order to identify and arrest the accused at the earliest.
