Madhya Pradesh: Man Breaks Idols Of Shiv Family Temple In Ratlam; Irked Villagers Caught The Accused | FP Photo
Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): A man broke idols of Lord Shiv and family in Badkeshwar Mahadev temple in Birmaval village of Ratlam district on Sunday, around 11 pm.
As per reports, a person broke the idols of Goddess Parvati, Lord Kartikeya and Nandi with a stick and also damaged the copper snake on the Shivling. Villagers in large numbers gathered at the temple when they came to know about the incident. Irked villagers caught the accused.
Upon receiving information, Bilpank police station in-charge Ayub Khan reached the spot and arrested Radheshyam Malviya, 50, and registered a case based on the complaints lodged by villagers.

The incident happened during Shravan month when a large number of devotees were expected to perform puja and jalabhishek on the last Monday of Shravan. According to police, the accused is said to be mentally challenged.
Village sarpanch representative Ramesh Dindor, deputy sarpanch Maheshwar Singh and others were present at the police station. After discussion with temple priest, new idols will be consecrated in the temple, said Bilpank police station in-charge Ayub Khan.
