Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 38-year-old woman was killed and two others, including her husband, sustained injuries after a speeding car hit their two-wheeler under Lasudia police station limits on Friday evening.
The incident occurred around 4 pm on the bridge on the Bypass near Malwa Institute of Technology when the trio were returning home after work. They were rushed to the hospital, where the woman succumbed to her injuries.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Durga, wife of Teju, a resident of Musakhedi. Her family members said that Durga and Teju worked as masons and had a construction site in the Nipania area. They were returning home with a companion on a two-wheeler after finishing work.

As they entered the bridge, a speeding car collided with their bike, causing all three to fall and sustain severe head injuries. In an attempt to flee, the car driver dragged the bike for around 20 feet before fleeing the scene, family members added.
The police have launched an investigation and conducted the post-mortem of the deceased.
