Indore: From Poles To Wires, Line Workers Go Through Exam Of A Kind

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Some were seen jumping pole-to-pole, while others wielded pliers with precision.
This was the scene of special Lineman Exam for outsourced personnel at Pologround in Indore where the participants showcased their technical prowess.
In a bid to upgrade skills, 700 line workers from 30 city zones were put to the test in a unique, practical exam.
Clearly, textbooks took a backseat as they all faced the ultimate action-packed real-world challenges.
This ‘beyond the ordinary’ exam was conducted on the instructions of West DISCOM managing director Rajni Singh and under the guidance of chief general manager Prakash Singh and chief engineer SR Bamanke.

He added that certificates would be distributed to all the participants after the results. Meanwhile, Arti Rekwal from the electricity security office kept a watchful eye as an invigilator.
