Uttar Pradesh News: Taj Mahal Surroundings To Be Beautified; New Projects Worth ₹29 Crore Proposed

Agra: The area surrounding the Taj Mahal is set for significant beautification and infrastructure upgrades following a meeting of the Toll Advisory Committee, chaired by Divisional Commissioner Shailendra Kumar Singh.
Directives were issued to improve street lighting from the Taj East Gate to the West Gate, repair roads and drains, and decorate existing electricity poles to enhance the aesthetic appeal.
During the 39th meeting of the committee, proposals for new works worth approximately ₹29 crore were presented. It was noted that facade lighting at Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri is complete.
However, the Commissioner expressed dissatisfaction with the irregular operation and lack of promotion for the Hindi-only light and sound show at Agra Fort.
