Rajasthan: Death Toll Reaches 18 In Jaipur LPG Tanker Blast
The horrific accident that took place on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway on December 20 had claimed 12 lives, while six more have died in the last four days. 15 seriously burnt patients are currently undergoing treatment in the burn ward of SMS Hospital of Jaipur.

Jaipur: Three more people, including a girl who was seriously burnt in the Jaipur LPG tanker blast, died at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital on Wednesday. With this, the death toll in the last four days has reached 18. This includes a former IAS as well.
The horrific accident that took place on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway on December 20 had claimed 12 lives, while six more have died in the last four days. 15 seriously burnt patients are currently undergoing treatment in the burn ward of SMS Hospital of Jaipur.
Plastic surgeon of SMS Hospital, Dr. Rakesh Jain said - 18 people have died until now due to this accident. One seriously injured patient has been put on ventilator. Including this, a total of 15 are undergoing treatment, while five have been discharged.
In the meantime, the Police have interrogated tanker driver Jaiveer Singh on Tuesday in the LPG blast case in Jaipur. The driver told the police that at 5.44 am on December 20, while taking a U turn from the cut to go to the Ring Road, the tanker was hit by a truck.

"I was alone in the tanker at the time of the accident. Without wasting any time, I started running. The gas released from the tanker became a ball of fire and started spreading on the road. By then I had reached the ring road. I called and informed the tanker owner Anil Kumar about the incident," said the driver in his statement to the police.
