Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah's Remarks On Colonel Qureshi Spark Nationwide Outrage

Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and the army's retaliatory action, Colonel Sofia Qureshi's press briefing has led to widespread praise for her bravery. Meanwhile, a statement by Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah has ignited a controversy.

Opposition parties are strongly condemning the statement. UP Congress President Ajay Rai stated that Colonel Sofia Qureshi has enhanced the honor of the entire nation, and Minister Vijay Shah's remarks are an insult to women and the army. He demanded that PM Modi immediately dismiss the minister and file a sedition case against him.

BSP supremo and former Chief Minister Mayawati has also demanded the strictest possible action from the Madhya Pradesh government against the minister. Other opposition leaders have also expressed their displeasure on this issue.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has also taken suo motu cognizance of the matter and ordered the registration of an FIR against Minister Vijay Shah.
