The rainfall is predicted in Nagapattinam, Ramanathapuram, Tiruvavur, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Puducherry, and Karaikal districts of Tamil Nadu. The weather department said that it could lead to situations like slippery roads and traffic congestion in some regions. Meanwhile, light rainfall is predicted in Chennai on May 6.
What is humidity?
Humidity refers to the amount of water vapor present in the air. It's usually expressed as relative humidity (RH) — a percentage showing how close the air is to being fully saturated with moisture. For example, 70 per cent RH means the air contains 70 per cent of the moisture it could hold at that temperature.
