Tere Ishk Mein: Kriti Sanon To Star Opposite Dhanush As Mukti, Actress Lights Cigarette Amid Chaos In Intense FIRST Look (VIDEO)

Actress Kriti Sanon has officially joined the cast of Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush in the lead. On January 28th, the makers released her intense first look of Kriti as Mukti. The film promises to take audiences on a rollercoaster of emotions, as her character is seen in a chaotic moment.

In the 1 minute 19 second clip, Kriti’s character, Mukti, enters a chaotic scene and pours kerosene on herself as she prepares to set herself on fire. Later, an emotional Kriti as Mukti is seen sitting in a corner, lighting a cigarette, which further builds the intensity of the scene.

Dhanush introduced Kriti's character, Mukti, on social media, sharing that the two will share the female lead in Tere Ishq Mein. He wrote, "Some love stories are destined to rise from the flames. Witness SHANKAR and MUKTI in #TereIshkMein. From the #WorldOfRaanjhanaa - a story that’s unforgettable."

Tere Ishk Mein is set to begin filming in 2025 and is a spiritual successor to the 2013 film Raanjhanaa, which starred Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor.

Tere Ishk Mein is produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. The film directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma, is an A.R. Rahman musical with lyrics by Irshad Kamil.

It is scheduled to release worldwide in Hindi and Tamil on 28th November 2025.

On the work front, Kriti was last seen in Do Patti, a project that marked her debut as a producer under her banner, Blue Butterfly Films, also starring Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh in the lead.
