Reema Lagoo's Ex-Husband, Actor Vivek Lagoo, Passes Away In Mumbai At 71
Veteran actor and filmmaker Vivek Lagoo, who was also the former husband of late actress Reema Lagoo, passed away in Mumbai on Thursday (June 19) at the age of 71. His daughter Mrunmayee Lagoo wrote on Instagram, "We fought together long and hard but now it’s time to say goodbye with love and gratitude."

Veteran actor and filmmaker Vivek Lagoo, who was also the former husband of late actress Reema Lagoo, passed away in Mumbai on Thursday (June 19) at the age of 71. His demise was confirmed by daughter Mrunmayee Lagoo in an emotional post on social media.
Mrunmayee took to her Instagram handle to share a cutesy selfie with her father. Along with that, she wrote, "We fought together long and hard but now it’s time to say good bye with love and gratitude (sic)."
She further added, "MY DAD! My best friend, my guide, my number one fan and the voice in my head... I will miss you... the best dad a girl can have (sic)."
Prayers and condolences poured in under Mrunmayee's post. "Sending you love and prayers Mrunmayee," Hansal Mehta wrote, while Karishma Tanna reacted with folded hands emoticons.
As per reports, Vivek's last rites will be held at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai on June 20.
Vivek got married to actress Reema Lagoo in 1978, but few years later, they decided to part ways. However, they continued to be friends until Reema passed away in 2017.
Vivek and Reema's daughter, Mrunmayee, is a well-known face in the industry. She has been credited as the writer for projects like Thappad and Scoop, among others.
Vivek had been a part of both Hindi and Marathi film industries. His notable works include Godawari Ne Kaay Kele, Ugly, What About Savarkar? and 31 Divas, among others. He was also a well-known and respected name in the Marathi theatre scene.
