'Not Even 1% Close To Ravi Kishan': Aamir Khan's Laapataa Ladies Audition Video Goes Viral; Netizens Are Happy He Was Rejected (Watch)

Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies was one of the best films of 2024. A few days ago, at IIFA 2025, the movie won multiple awards. Ravi Kishan played the role of a cop named Shyam Manohar in the film and his performance was appreciated a lot. He won Best Supporting Actor award at IIFA, and now, a video of Aamir Khan giving audition for the role has gone viral on social media.

Aamir had earlier revealed that he was supposed to do the role, but Kiran rejected him. Now, in this audition video, Aamir is seen enacting a scene from the film. Check out the video below...

While Aamir is doing well in the video, netizens are quite happy that he was rejected for the role. A netizen wrote, "Not even 1% close to Ravi Kishan's acting." Another X user wrote, "Ravi kishan did a wonderful job. Aamir doesn't suit in this role."

One more netizen posted, "Thank God he was not casted for this role. Overacting. Ravi Kishan has done exceptionally well in that role."

Earlier, while talking about Kiran rejecting him for the role, Aamir had said, “I tried to play a character in the film; she (Kiran) didn’t let me. I wanted to play the cop and even did a screen test for it, but I was rejected. I was really keen on playing that role, but Kiran and I discussed it. I think my screen test was very good, but we decided to go with Ravi Kishan. Both of us took that decision.”

Aamir Khan will next be seen in Sitare Zameen Par which is slated to release during Christmas this year. However, there were reports that the film might release in June. But, Aamir is yet to make an official announcement about the release date. Recently, there were even reports that the teaser of the film has been passed with 'U' certificate by CBFC.

Meanwhile, during an interaction on his birthday this year, Aamir had revealed that the work on Mahabharata has also started.
