Jana Nayagan Release Date: Thalapathy Vijay Confirms His Final Film To Hit Big Screens On July 23

After being delayed for more than six months, finally, Thalapathy Vijay's last film, Jana Nayagan, is slated to hit the big screens on July 23, 2026. While there were earlier reports about the movie's release date, on Wednesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay shared a new poster of Jana Nayagan and confirmed that the film will release on July 23.

Meanwhile, the production house also announced the release date and wrote, "Tested by fire. Forged by time. Built for history. The tougher the battle, the louder the victory. #JanaNayaganFromJuly23 #JanaNayakuduFromJuly23 #JanNetaFromJuly23 (sic)."

Jana Nayagan Release Controversy

Jana Nayagan was slated to release on January 9, 2026. But the film didn't receive a certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. The makers moved to court against the board, but later withdrew the case, and the movie was submitted to the Revising Committee.

Last week, the movie received an 'A' certificate from the CBFC after multiple cuts and changes. The makers had confirmed it on social media.

Vijay Fans React To Jana Nayagan Release Date Update

Jana Nayagan is a special film for all Vijay fans, as it is his last film as an actor. He has joined politics, and currently, he is the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
