Janhvi Kapoor: 'Maths makes you retarded, I only cared about history and literature'

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film 'GoodLuck Jerry'.
Amid the promotions, a video of the actress from one of her interviews is doing the rounds on social media platforms.
In the short video, Janhvi talked about the subjects she liked the most in school. "I only cared about history and literature, which I did really well in," she said, adding that she didn't like Maths at all.
"I don't understand the point. Aaj tak maine Algebra ka istemaal kiya hi nahi hai toh itna kyu maine sar toda? Like what was the point? History and literature, on the other hand, it makes you a cultured human. Maths just makes you like retarded,' Janhvi said.

Meanwhile, Janhvi, who made her debut with the 2018 romantic drama 'Dhadak', has starred in films such as 'Roohi', 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' and the Netflix anthology 'Ghost Stories' will be seen in 'GoodLuck Jerry' which is the remake of the 2018 Tamil film 'Kolamaavu Kokila', starring Nayanthara and Yogi Babu.
In 'GoodLuck Jerry', she plays Jaya Kumari alias Jerry, an immigrant from Bihar who becomes a drug dealer in Punjab to foot the medical bills for her mother who is diagnosed with stage 2 cancer.
The film, directed by Siddharth Sengupta, is written by Pankaj Matta and is backed by Aanand L Rai's Colour Yellow Productions and LYCA Productions, in association with Sundial Entertainment.
Also starring Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, Sushant Singh and Saurabh Sachdeva, the film will release on Disney+ Hotstar on July 29.
