Mumbai: Lazeem Beats & Traditional Costumes Mark Gudi Padwa At Shree Nagardas Dharsi Bhuta High School
Shree Nagardas Dharsi Bhuta High School celebrated Gudi Padwa with a grand cultural event. Trustees, teachers, and students participated in a vibrant procession showcasing Maharashtra’s rich heritage.

Mumbai: On Saturday, 29th March 2025, Shree Nagardas Dharsi Bhuta High School celebrated Gudi Padwa, a major festival in Maharashtra. The event was attended by the school trustees, Shri Kamleshji Bhuta and Smt Devangiji Bhuta. Education Director Shri Umakant Raut and Headmaster Shri Sarjerao Vaidya, the community celebrated this significant cultural festival together. The procession included teachers, students, and non-teaching personnel who brought the display of Maharashtra's rich heritage.
The school was decorated with flower garlands and delicate rangolis. The festivities began with the aarti of the Gudi, a holy pole that was put up in the school. The trustees explained the significance of Gudi Padwa to them, stressing its importance in Maharashtrian society.
Boys were seen in Vasudev Saints, Varkaris, and Potraj outfits, historical characters' get-ups, and girls in real Maharashtrian nine-yard sarees. The procession commenced with Lazeem, dhol, and Banjo beats, and with every beat sounded rhythmically attuned to the celebratory spirit.
As Vasudeva, Mast. Deep Rawaria from Class VI, Mast. Ayush Singh of Class VI and Mast. Kabir Singh of Class VII participated in the procession. Lord Vitthal was enacted by class VI student Mast. Harsh Gupta. Miss Sai, a seventh-grade student, enacted Rukmini, the wife of Lord Vitthal. Class VII student Miss Sushmita enacted Rani Laxmibai, the Queen of Jhansi. Students dressed in school uniforms carried the messages on placards bearing the greetings of Gudipadwa.
