IIM Ahmedabad To Open Its First International Campus In Dubai By September 2025
IIM Ahmedabad has announced plans to open its first international campus in Dubai by September 2025, making it the first IIM to expand abroad. The news was shared during the 60th convocation ceremony, where the Madan Mohanka Centre of Excellence was also launched.

On its 60th convocation ceremony hosted at the Louis Kahn Plaza, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) announced plans to open its first international campus in Dubai by September 2025. This action makes IIMA the first among the Indian Institutes of Management to go international.
At the convocation, the news was announced by IIMA Director Professor Bharat Bhasker. The occasion also saw the launch of the Madan Mohanka Centre of Excellence in Case Method of Learning, sponsored by industrialist and IIMA alumnus Madan Mohanka (PGP 1967). The center will enhance the case study method of instruction at the institute.
Dr. S. Somanath, ex-Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), was the guest of honour at the ceremony. He awarded degrees to more than 1,200 students in four programs, consisting of 22 doctoral graduates, 405 MBA-PGP graduates, 45 MBA-FABM graduates, and 158 MBA-PGPX graduates. Five meritorious students received gold medals for academic achievement: Abhi Bansal, Ishaan Jain, Aanchal Chadha (MBA-PGP); Yogesh Kumar R (MBA-FABM); and Aashruth Rangarajan (MBA-PGPX).

Furthermore, IIMA has also declared a new partnership with FPSB India to introduce an executive program in financial planning and investment advisory services. The one-year program is meant for mid-to-senior finance professionals and deals with issues such as investment management, tax planning, estate planning, and risk management. Applications for the program are available from March to August, and the first batch will commence in September 2025.
