MD Drug, Its Raw Materials Of Rs 1,814 Cr Seized From Bhopal Factory Says Gujarat Home Minister; Writes Letter To CM Mohan Yadav

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Authorities have seized MD drug and its raw materials valued at Rs 1,814 crore from a factory in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal, Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi said on Sunday.

The joint operation was carried out by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Delhi, he said in a post on X.

"Kudos to Gujarat ATS and NCB (Ops), Delhi, for a massive win in the fight against drugs! Recently, they raided a factory in Bhopal and seized MD and materials used to manufacture MD, with a staggering total value of Rs 1814 crores!," Sanghavi said.

"This achievement showcases the tireless efforts of our law enforcement agencies in combating drug trafficking and abuse. Their collaborative efforts are crucial in safeguarding the health and security of our society," he said.

The minister said the dedication of the law enforcement agencies is truly commendable.

"Let's continue to support them in their mission to make India a safest and healthier nation!," he added. 

Moreover, Harsh Sanghvi wrote a letter to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, praising the helping hand provided by the Madhya Pradesh police in joint action taken by Gujarat ATS and NCB Delhi in Bhopal on Sunday.

Praising the professional attitude of MP police, he said that help was provided by State police from starting till end of the action.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav took to his X handle to acknowledge the praiseworthy letter of Harsh Sanghvi and said that at various places of state action is being taken against drugs which also includes joint action along with police of other states.

In this series, Madhya Pradesh has promptly coordinated in action taken by Gujarat ATS and NCB Delhi under which stern action will be taken against guilty. No illegal activity which becomes obstacle in way of healthy, empowered and prosperous Madhya Pradesh will be tolerated.
