Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Another case may be registered against former constable Saurabh Sharma who is in the grip of Lokayukta, ED, and I-T. The state government is also set to tighten its noose on Sharma.

According to sources, the Transport Department is getting ready to register an FIR against him. Sharma was given a job on compassionate ground in the Transport Department in 2016. But he submitted a bogus affidavit to get the job.

For appointment on compassionate ground, Sharma gave it in writing that none of his family members were in government employment. But it came to light that his brother was working for the Chhattisgarh government.

Sharma’s mother Uma Sharma also gave wrong information to get the job for him. The Transport Department conducted a commissioner-level preliminary inquiry.

After the inquiry, it came to light that Sharma got the job on the grounds of a fake affidavit. The office of the transport commissioner is preparing for registering an FIR against Sharma.

Questions related to Sharma to come up in Vidhan Sabha

There will be heated discussions on the issue of Saurabh Sharma in the upcoming budget session of the Vidhan Sabha. The Congress legislators have put many questions on the appointment of Sharma and his posting. The opposition also put up many questions on the corruption in Transport Department’s check posts. The Congress is getting ready to corner the government on the check post scam.

I-T quizzes Sharma for fourth day

I-T sleuths continued to quiz Saurabh Sharma continuously for the fourth day on Thursday. According to sources in the I-T Department, the questions were related to 52 kg gold and Rs 11 crore found in a car. Besides, the I-T department is also questioning in connection with his old returns.

When he was in the Transport Department, Sharma made crores of rupees through extortions at the check posts. Nevertheless, in the returns filed by Sharma and his two accomplices Sharad Jaiswal and Chetan Singh, there is no mention of any investments. I-T sleuths are questioning them on the basis of these papers.
