Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): The Lokayukta Special Establishment Police in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur caught a government employee red-handed while accepting bribe of ₹10 thousand on Friday.
According to information, an employee posted in Housing Board has been identified as Aman Kostha was allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹10,000. Assistant grade 3 employee, Aman Kostha is posted in Sanjeevani Nagar office of Housing Board.
According to officials, Kostha had allegedly demanded the amount from complainant Hakeem Sahu in exchange for facilitating the transfer of a plot.
Upon receiving the information, the complaint was thoroughly verified by the authorities and Lokayaukta's special establishment, laid a trap. They set up a team to nab the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe amount.
After the incident, a the accused has been booked and a formal complaint has been registered under the Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Meanwhile the officials have confirmed that further investigation is currently underway to gather more evidence and determine the full extent of the offence.
