Ex-RTO Constable Saurabh Sharma Surrenders At Lokayukta Court In Bhopal After Back-To-Back Raids At Aides; Built ₹100 Crore Empire
Saurabh Sharma was named the main accused in a disproportionate assets case when a team of Lokayukta officers raided the Ex RTO constable's residence in Bhopal in December 2024.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a sudden turn of events, former RTO constable Saurabh Sharma-- accused of money laundering, has surrendered in the special Court of Lokayukta in Bhopal on Monday.
His advocate, Rakesh Parashar, told Free Press that Sharma appeared in the court and surrendered himself. At present, he is in court custody.
He had been absconding since December 19, when Lokayukta raided two premises of Sharma on the complaint of disproportionate assets. During the raid, the police had seized cash and valuables worth Rs 7.98 crore and have also seized a huge number of property papers.
Later, on the evening of December 19, the Income Tax department found an abandoned car in the outskirts of Bhopal. 52 kilograms of gold and Rs 10 crore were seized from the car that belongs to Sharma's aide, Chetan Singh Gaur.
The IT department issued a lookout notice against Sharma for his arrest.
Later, Enforcement Doctorate also conducted a raid and unearthed a huge amount of cash, valuables, bank deposits, and property. Recently, on January 17, the ED sleuths raided eight locations, including Gwalior, Bhopal, related to former senior sub-registrar and Sharma's aide KK Arora.
The property of Sharma and his aides is said to cost Rs 100 crores.
