Bizarre! Villagers Throw Hot Curry At 50-Year-Old Man, Assault Him For Educating His Seven Daughters In MP's Chhatarpur

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 50-year-old man was physically assaulted and tortured for educating his seven daughters and raising them like sons in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur. The villagers threw hot curry on him, beat him and hurled taunts to punish him for apparently giving wings to his girls.

The incident happened during a wedding event, where the man, Ramesh Ahirwar, was quietly eating food when a villager threw hot curry on him and insulted him in front of others.

When he asked why he was being treated this way, the man and a group of others started abusing and threatening him.

The man, Ramesh Ahirwar, works as a laborer and lives in Chauka village under the Matguan police station area. He says some people in the village are unhappy because he supports and educates his daughters.

According to information, the incident happened on May 15 during a wedding in the village. Ramesh was eating at the event when a man named Gunda Ahirwar threw hot curry on his face and insulted him. Other people laughed at him, and when he asked why it happened, Gunda and others started abusing and threatening him.

Later that night, the same group came to his house with sticks and attacked him. Ramesh was hurt on his hand, and when his daughter tried to help, she was also injured.

His wife and other daughters were beaten as well. The attackers left after giving death threats.

Ramesh was afraid to go to the police that night. The next morning, he went to the local police station but says his complaint was not properly written. He later went to the SP office with his injured wife and daughter to ask for justice.

Ramesh said that people in the village don’t like that he is trying to give his daughters a better future. His daughter, Roshni Ahirwar, who is studying in the second year of BA LLB, said, “We are seven sisters and one younger brother. We support our father like sons. People are jealous of our progress. They don’t want girls like us to grow and move forward. But we are not afraid. If being daughters is a crime, we are proud of it.”
