Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): An 18-year-old boy ended his life by jumping from the fifth floor of his residential building at Nabi Bag under Nishatpura police station late Sunday night. The youth took the extreme step reportedly after being rebuked by his parents over some issue, police said.
According to reports, resident of BDA Colony at Nabi Bag, Vishal Singh Tomar left his studies after Class 10. His father Laxman Singh works in a private company. Preliminary investigations by police revealed that Vishal argued with his parents over some issue on Sunday night after they rebuked him over some issue.
In a fit of rage, Vishal locked the main door of his flat and climbed on the fifth floor of the building. His parents raised an alarm and called neighbours for help.
However, Vishal jumped from the terrace by then. Vishal’s parents found him lying injured when they reached outside the building after neighbours opened the door. They rushed him to a private hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
Locals informed police that Vishal’s elder brother works in Katni while his elder sister is married. Police officials said that statements of the family would be recorded to learn about the reasons behind the argument following which the youth ended his life.
