Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man fraudulently withdrew cash from his mother’s pension bank account and dissolved fixed deposit in her name through forgery. Moreover, the man even sold the ancestral land without her approval.
An FIR was registered at Piplani police station on the complaint of his mother on Tuesday. Further investigations are underway, police officials said. Niraja Nagar resident Ranjana Bhaseen in her complaint stated that her husband Brajmohan Bhaseen was a government doctor who died in 2018. Ranjana’s elder son also died a few years later.
Ranjana Bhaseen’s younger son Ankit Bhaseen is a government employee and is posted in Sehore district. Ranjana Bhaseen said Ankit had been withdrawing cash from her pension account after taking her ATM card without her permission. He also dissolved the fixed deposit in her name through forgery. Ankit even got the property transferred in his name without her knowledge and sold land.
Ranjana first approached the police and made a complaint against her son. However, police took no action on the pretext that it was a case of a family dispute. Ranjana then approached the court and made a complaint, leading to registration of a case at Piplani police station. Police station incharge Anurag Lal said further investigations were underway.
