Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Employees of a cooperative society have embezzled approximately ₹41.94 lakh collected through the recovery of dues on Kisan Credit Cards in Bhopal.

According to reports, the crime was perpetrated by three employees of the society. The police have registered a case against the trio in connection with this matter and have initiated an investigation.

According to police reports, complainant Ramcharan Silawat serves as the Administrator of the Raipur Village Cooperative Society.

In a written complaint submitted to the police, he stated that the society employs three individuals—identified as Manoj Kumar Jatav, Narendra, and Mukesh—who are responsible for collecting loan instalments from farmers.

The three accused individuals had collected a total of approximately ₹41.94 lakh from farmers. Instead of depositing this amount into the society's accounts, the trio embezzled the funds for their own use.

In this regard, the society had issued notices to the employees on multiple occasions, instructing them to deposit the money; however, the accused failed to do so.

Accused Yet to Be Arrested

Acting on the Administrator's complaint, the police have registered an FIR against the accused. The police have stated that, as of now, the accused have not yet been arrested. Measures to recover the embezzled funds from the accused will be initiated only after they have been apprehended.

The police are currently attempting to ascertain exactly how many farmers' funds have been misappropriated. The police remain actively engaged in the investigation of the case.
