Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident reported in Bhopal, a youth sustained injuries while trying to protect his aunt from her husband’s sharp weapon attack on Tuesday, informed Govindpur police.
Police station in charge Awadhesh Singh told Free Press that a man, Kanhaiya Lal Ahirwar, who works as a private driver, was having a dispute with his wife, Arti Ahirwar, who lives separately from her husband in a rented house at Sehore.
She came to Bhopal with their nephew Akash Ahirwar to the bank for some work. When his husband came to know that she came to the city, he traced her and came near the bank.

As soon as they came across each other, the accused started a dispute with her. The argument escalated and, in a fit of rage, he took out his weapon and started chasing her, as she was running away from him around the bank.
During the commotion, which reportedly lasted for an hour, Akash stepped in to protect his aunt and sustained a thigh injury in the process.
Arti and Akash immediately sought medical assistance, while the police registered an FIR against Kanhaiya Lal.
Further action would be taken on the basis of investigations and interrogations.
