Bhopal: Death threat to Pragya Thakur; Cyber police arrests Hyderabad based 10th standard pass plumber
The man who has been arrested is identified as Shaikh Nazir, a resident of Hyderabad. He is a 10th class pass out and he is plumber, cyber crime police added.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The cyber crime police on Friday arrested a Hyderabad based 10th standard pass plumber for allegedly giving a death threat to Bhopal Lok Sabha MP and BJP leader Sadhvi Pragya over the phone. On June 18, a person, who described himself as Iqbal Kaskar's man, threatened the BJP leader over a WhatsApp call.
The man who has been arrested is identified as Shaikh Nazir, a resident of Hyderabad. He is a 10th class pass out and he is plumber, cyber crime police added.
According to Cyber crime police, the caller had introduced himself Sadhvi Pragya Singh as Iqbal Kaskar's man and said, “Soon you will be killed. That's why I am informing you beforehand.” Police are yet to reveal further details of the accused and further investigation into the matter is underway.
Sadhvi Pragya had recorded the WhatsApp call through video recording and lodged a complaint in this regard at TT Nagar police station after the threat.
After watching the video recording, the TT Nagar police had registered a case under sections 506 and 507 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and started an investigation into the matter.
According to Cyber crime police, the accused has been brought to Bhopal and during interrogation, he admitted his crime. Bhopal police had constituted a team and sent it to Hyderabad on the basis of clues. After tracing him, the Bhopal police team intercepted him during an interchanging flight from Delhi to Hyderabad.
