7-Year-Old Injured As Part Of Roof Falls From Dilapidated School Building In MP’s Umaria
After the incident, teachers quickly helped the other students leave the school safely.

Umaria (Madhya Pradesh): A seven-year-old student was injured after a large piece of plaster fell from the roof in a government school in MP's Umaria on Thursday.
The incident is of Koylari village near the district headquarters. The boy, who studies in class two, was hit on the head by the falling plaster, causing a deep wound and heavy bleeding that stained his clothes red.

According to information, he was immediately taken to the district hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
The school building is very old and in poor condition. Locals and teachers had previously warned about the unsafe state of the building and said it needed repairs.
However, no action was taken, which has led to anger among villagers and parents after the accident.
After the incident, teachers quickly helped the other students leave the school safely.
The district collector had recently ordered that no classes should be held in damaged or unsafe buildings.
Still, many old school buildings, including the one in Koylari, continue to be used. This shows that the collector’s instructions are not being properly followed.
More poor buildings in district
There are hundreds of school buildings in the district that are 25 to 35 years old and in poor shape. Despite this, many children attend these schools every day.
This negligence led to the accident that injured the young student.
