Over the past two years, JLR India has more than doubled its annual retail sales, highlighting a consistent upward trend. The company also posted its best-ever quarterly results in Q4 FY25, with 1,793 retail and 1,710 wholesale units sold, translating to over 100% growth compared to the same period last year.
JLR India's record-breaking performance in FY25 was fuelled by strong demand across its entire vehicle lineup. Leading the charge was the Defender, which emerged as the brand's top-selling model with an impressive 90% growth over the previous year. The locally assembled Range Rover and Range Rover Sport also contributed significantly to the momentum, registering year-on-year growth of 72% and 42% respectively. This broad-based demand played a key role in pushing the brand to new heights in both retail and wholesale sales.
Building on its strong performance in FY25, JLR India has firmly positioned the Range Rover and Defender as aspirational choices among luxury SUV buyers in the country. The company’s focused ‘House of Brands’ approach has struck a chord with affluent customers, further strengthening its presence in the premium segment and enhancing its appeal among India’s growing base of high-net-worth individuals.
