Not Wedding Stress, Groom Diagnosed Of Stage 4 Bowel Cancer Weeks After Celebration

A groom, who was initially told he was suffering from wedding stress after he complained of stomach pain, was shocked when doctors later diagnosed him with cancer.
"You're fine, go and get married"
The man was identified as Ashley Robinson, 35, who went for a medical consultation before the wedding. He told the doctors about discomfort in his stomach. He was asked to not worry about his health condition, which they suggested would get fine in a week or so. While they earlier diagnosis pointed out it was only wedding stress that resulted in stomach issues, he received a shocking update weeks after his big day.
Initially, doctors dismissed his symptoms as anxiety related to wedding planning and said, "It's nothing serious. You're fine, go and get married".
Shocking cancer diagnosis
"I went home with medication and took that for two weeks, but nothing changed," he was quoted as saying in LadBible. "The wedding was so consuming and I was being told by every health professional that I definitely didn't have cancer. They were saying 'you're fine, don't worry, go and get married' so I took their word for it", Ashley added.
He got married but had to cut his honeymoon short after his health declined.
As the pain worsened, he went through further medical examination revealing a shocking cancer diagnosis. He had stage four bowel cancer, which left him and his newly-wed wife crushed. The couple was shocked by the recent diagnosis.
"At the time it was obviously earth-shattering news, and I couldn't contemplate what was going on but now that I'm on the mend, it's very frustrating....When something's not right, you know your own body", he told the news media.
