Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Nashik on Saturday has stirred political discussions, particularly due to his interaction with senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal from the Ajit Pawar faction.
Shah was in Nashik to visit the 538-acre Venkateshwara Agricultural Farm in Ajang, Malegaon, developed by ex-servicemen and local farmers, and to inaugurate a soil testing centre and an agarbatti factory for farmers.
Bhujbal, who has been vocal about his discontent after being dropped from the state cabinet, was present at the event. His recent criticism of Ajit Pawar and perceived growing proximity to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have fueled rumours of a potential political shift. Bhujbal’s brief attendance at the NCP camp in Shirdi further signalled his dissatisfaction, sparking speculation about whether he might resign from the Ajit Pawar faction.
At the event, Shah raised eyebrows when he not only acknowledged Bhujbal’s presence but also invited him to sit near him on stage. The two leaders were seen conversing briefly, an act that has intensified discussions in political circles about Bhujbal’s future moves.
