Mumbai: Western Railway hosted a meeting with parcel customers under the leadership of Shri Tarun Jain, Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM) at its headquarters in Churchgate. The session brought together senior officials from the Commercial and Operating departments, along with over 20 key parcel leaseholders and aggregators from various divisions, to deliberate on strategies for enhancing parcel services and increasing revenue.
According to Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, the meeting served as a platform to discuss upcoming initiatives for the new financial year, including the introduction of Mixed Special Trains, Vande Bharat Parcel Trains, Deemed VPs, and Joint Parcel Product Services. These innovations are aimed at strengthening the Railways’ logistics offerings and improving efficiency in parcel movement.
Stakeholders were briefed on the various proactive measures being undertaken by the Railway Administration to support and expand the parcel business. Participants actively engaged in the dialogue, sharing their on-ground experiences and offering constructive suggestions to enhance operations.
Reiterating its commitment to stakeholder collaboration, the Railway Administration assured attendees that their concerns would be addressed with a focus on creating a more supportive and business-friendly environment. In turn, parcel leaseholders pledged their continued partnership in driving revenue growth and service improvements.
