Panvel Municipal Corporation Launches ‘Progressive Panvel’ Short Film Contest Ahead Of 10th Anniversary; ₹3.75 Lakh In Prizes Announced
In a unique initiative to celebrate its journey of development, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has launched a city-wide short film competition titled ‘Progressive Panvel’. The competition is being conducted as the civic body prepares to mark its 10th anniversary beginning October 1.

Panvel: In a unique initiative to celebrate its journey of development, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has launched a city-wide short film competition titled ‘Progressive Panvel’. The competition is being conducted as the civic body prepares to mark its 10th anniversary beginning October 1.
The objective of the contest is to highlight the developmental work and progress achieved by PMC over the past nine years. "Through this competition, the Corporation aims to encourage citizen participation, promote creative storytelling, and document the transformation of Panvel in visual form," said an official.
The contest is open to all, and participants are required to submit short films with a duration of 10 to 15 minutes. Films can be in Marathi, Hindi, or English, but must revolve around the central theme of ‘Progressive Panvel’. Interested participants must register by sending an email to shortfilmpmc@gmail.com by July 15, 2025. After registration, detailed guidelines and terms will be shared with the participants.
. A total of 20 cash prizes worth ₹3.75 lakh will be awarded. The top three awards include:
. First Prize: ₹1,00,000 with a certificate and memento
. Second Prize: ₹75,000 with a certificate and memento
. Third Prize: ₹50,000 with a certificate and memento
In addition, two consolation prizes of ₹25,000 each, five special awards of ₹10,000 each, and ten additional prizes of ₹5,000 each will be presented. On the occasion of PMC’s 10th anniversary, ten special ‘Decade Celebration’ awards will also be conferred.
