Palghar, Maharashtra: A brother and sister were killed late Tuesday night in a tragic road accident on the Mahim-Palghar road. The siblings were riding a motorcycle when a speeding trailer collided with them near Hotel Tashi. The trailer driver fled the scene and is currently at large.
The deceased have been identified as Mangesh Vishwakarma (22) and Pooja Vishwakarma (25), originally from Uttar Pradesh, who were residing with their family in a housing complex in Haranwadi, Palghar.
According to police reports, the siblings had gone out for ice cream after dinner around 11 pm While returning home on their motorcycle, a fast-moving trailer rammed into them from behind. The impact was so severe that both victims died instantly, with their bodies mutilated and scattered across the roadside.

Palghar Police have registered a case and formed a special team to apprehend the absconding trailer driver.
