Mumbai: Shiv Sena MLA Dr Balaji Kinikar Claims Assassination Plot, 2 Arrested In Ambernath

Mumbai: The police have arrested two individuals following allegations by Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) MLA from Ambernath, Dr Balaji Kinikar, that a plot to assassinate him had been brewing for the past 15 days. The Thane Crime Branch has launched an investigation into the matter.

Dr Kinikar stated that he has full confidence in the police and had already informed Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde about the situation.

This revelation comes at a time when law and order in the state is under intense scrutiny due to several high-profile crimes, including the brutal murder of a sarpanch in Massajog, the rape and murder of a young girl in Kalyan, and escalating tensions in Parbhani.

Speaking to the media, Dr Kinikar revealed that he had received information about the plot through certain sources and promptly approached the police.

The incident has caused a stir in Ambernath, with speculation swirling that several high-profile names may be linked to the conspiracy. Dr Kinikar, who is serving his fourth term as an MLA, has been facing internal opposition within the local Shiv Sena.
