Mumbai: Man Arrested For Sexual Abuse, Black Magic And Exploiting Woman And Her Daughters In Goregaon

Story: Mumbai: A shocking case involving black magic, superstition, and sexual abuse has emerged from Aarey Colony, Goregaon East, where a 34-year-old woman filed a complaint against a man who exploited her and her daughters over several years. The accused, Rajaram Ramkumar Yadav (43), an auto driver residing in Durga Nagar, Gautam Nagar, has been arrested.

According to the police, offenses are registered under Sections 64(2)(M), 74, 75, 76, 351(3) of BNS, Sections 8 and 12 of the POCSO Act, and Section 3(2) of the Maharashtra Anti-Superstition and Black Magic Act, 2013.

The incidents allegedly occurred between 2020 and January 14, 2025. Yadav, claiming to be a healer, manipulated the complainant by promising to cure her husband’s illness using black magic and mantras. He coerced her into having sexual relations against her will and threatened to kill her family if she resisted.

The complaint further states that Yadav took the complainant’s two daughters into the forest, where he performed rituals involving clove flowers on their bodies under the pretext of spiritual healing. The case was registered at Aarey Police Station, and Yadav was arrested. Authorities are investigating further to determine if other victims were targeted.

This case highlights the dangers of superstitious beliefs and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals. Mumbai Police urges citizens to report similar incidents and avoid falling prey to fraudulent healers.
