In a late-night crackdown on drunk driving, the Dadar Police booked a 45-year-old man for dangerously driving his luxury Audi car (MH 01 DE 1200) under the influence of alcohol in the Worli area. The accused, Rahul Subhash Rekhi, a resident of Tower 02, Crescent Bay, Jerbai Wadia Road, Parel, was found driving in a highly intoxicated state, posing a serious threat to public safety.

Mumbai: In a late-night crackdown on drunk driving, the Dadar Police booked a 45-year-old man for dangerously driving his luxury Audi car (MH 01 DE 1200) under the influence of alcohol in the Worli area.
The accused, Rahul Subhash Rekhi, a resident of Tower 02, Crescent Bay, Jerbai Wadia Road, Parel, was found driving in a highly intoxicated state, posing a serious threat to public safety.
Dadar Traffic Police Conduct Routine Checkpoint for Drunk Driving in Worli
According to the police, the incident occurred during a routine naka-bandi (checkpoint) operation for drunk driving conducted by the Dadar Traffic Division on the night of August 9. Police constable Sanjay Zore, 37, along with his team, was on duty from 1:30 AM to 3:30 AM at a checkpoint near Croma Junction, Anne Besant Road, Worli.
Rahul Subhash Rekhi Found Driving with Blood Alcohol Level Over Legal Limit
At around 2:00 AM, Rekhi was found driving the Audi car in a heavily intoxicated state. When he was subjected to a breathalyzer test using a government-approved Alco-Track machine, his blood alcohol level was recorded at 159.05 mg per 100 ml — far exceeding the legal limit.

Following the test, constable Zore filed a formal complaint at the Dadar Police Station. Rekhi has been booked under Sections 125 and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act for endangering public life and driving under the influence of alcohol. Police have confirmed that appropriate legal action is being pursued.
