Independence Day 2025: Panvel Municipal Corporation Launches ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Drive With Cultural Events, Rallies And Public Displays
The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has kicked off its Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, calling on citizens to proudly hoist the national flag at their homes between August 2 and 15.

Panvel: The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has kicked off its Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, calling on citizens to proudly hoist the national flag at their homes between August 2 and 15.
Events to Include Murals, Exhibitions, Competitions and Tributes
The initiative, aims to instil patriotism and spread awareness about the Indian National Flag. As part of the celebrations, the civic body has lined up tricolour themed murals on school walls, exhibitions in public spaces, rangoli competitions, workshops, rakhimaking contests, quizzes, and letter writing activities to honour soldiers and police personnel.
City Landmarks to Shine in Tricolour Lighting
Key locations across the city including markets, bridges, and municipal buildings will be lit up in the tricolour. Cultural programmes, including patriotic song performances, will be held on August 14 at the Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Auditorium. The plan also includes a Tricolour Bike Rally, Cycle Rally, Marathon, March, and Art Festival in the run-up to August 15.

PMC Appeals for Compliance With Indian Flag Code
The PMC has appealed to all residents to observe the Indian Flag Code while displaying the tricolour. Detailed guidelines are available on www.harghartiranga.com. Flag hoisting ceremonies will be conducted across municipal offices and public venues on Independence Day.
