Pursuant to the vision of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi of a DRUG FREE INDIA (Nasha Mukt Bharat) and acting upon the directives of Hon'ble Union Home Minister, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has achieved significant success in dismantling clandestine labs and drug networks.
About The Case
On March 22, 2025, NCB seized 46.8 kg of white colour powdery substance purported to be Mephedrone (MD) and arrested 02 persons from the Bhandup area of Mumbai. The drug was hidden in a plastic container at the residence of one accused.
In the course of the examination of the arrested accused, it came forth that he manufactured this drug in a lab located at the Mahad Industrial area, District Raigad. This clandestine lab was raided thereafter, and a suspicious chemical was seized.
It has come forth that the supplier of this drug has two cases registered against him under the provisions of the NDPS Act by the DRI. It has further been revealed that presently he was out on bail. Further investigation in this case is underway.
The seizure exemplifies the NCB’s commitment to successfully dismantling drug networks. To fight against drug trafficking, NCB seeks the support of the citizens.
