The eagerly awaited Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections in 2026 are drawing near, with several significant updates coming from the Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC). Many of the elected corporators, particularly from the Shiv Sena’s former faction, joined the Eknath Shinde-led Sena faction, causing a reconfiguration of political allegiances in Mumbai.
