ACTREC Hosts International Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Summit In Navi Mumbai, Draws Global Participation

Mumbai, April 1: Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education (ACTREC) in Cancer, under Tata Memorial Centre, successfully organised the 2nd OTCAN REHAB 2026: 1st International Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Summit on March 28, 2026, at its Kharghar campus in Navi Mumbai.

The hybrid event brought together 238 delegates from India, UAE, UK, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, marking a major international collaboration in advancing breast cancer rehabilitation.

Global participation and knowledge exchange

The summit was inaugurated by Navin Khattry, Deputy Director, CRC-ACTREC. The summit saw participation from a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including oncologists, clinical pharmacologists, occupational therapy faculty, and students.

Conducted in a hybrid format, the event enabled seamless international engagement and knowledge exchange, focusing on emerging practices and holistic approaches to breast cancer rehabilitation.

Focus on multidisciplinary care

Recognised as one of Asia’s first international summits dedicated exclusively to breast cancer rehabilitation, the event underscored the importance of multidisciplinary care in improving functional outcomes and quality of life for survivors. Participants praised the initiative for its academic depth and practical relevance.
